sonicTransporter Music Servers

Getting a lot of questions this week about our sonicTransporter Music Servers. Hopefully this helps answer some questions.

Q: Does your music server have a fan?

A: No, all of our music servers are fan-less with no moving parts. Three reasons why we do not have a fan inside our music servers:
1) Fans are noisy. Our goal is always to minimize noise.
2) Fans introduce dust inside your music server.
3) Fans can break. Fans have motors that will break down over time.

Q: Will my Music Server be obsolete after a year?

A: All of our sonicTransporter Music Servers are designed to provide lightning fast access to your music for many years. Each sonicTransporter Music Server is designed to be as future-proof as possible by greatly exceeding the processor and memory requirements to run services like Roon, DLNA, SqueezeBox, and more.

Q: What happens if I want to talk to someone at Small Green Computer or something goes wrong with my music server?

A: Unlike many other companies, when you reach out to us you interact with a live person, not some chatbot or automated phone system. All sonicTransporters are backed by a 30 day, no questions asked, return policy and a one year warranty.

Q: What happens if I buy a sonicTransporter music server to use with Roon and then a year from now I no longer want to use Roon?

A: Unlike systems built specifically for Roon that become expensive paperweights if you cancel service, our sonicTransporter Music Servers are built on our Sonicorbiter Operating System. This gives our customers not only Roon, but other options like DLNA, Samba (Sonos and more), Squeezebox, and more. Bottom line, you have plenty of options if you want to make a change.
